The game is to guide your balls through all the gates in the correct order as shown in the diagram. The player only moves one ball per move. In the first four moves, all balls must be put into play.
The game begins with hitting the ball from the starting line located about 1 m from the edge of the field before the first goal. For passing the gate you get 1 point and the possibility of making a second additional move. The balls are passed through the gates, most often in a two-time scoring system: first two left side, then two right side, then two middle and then two left (but from the opposite side) and two right, and finally two middle ones for the last time. The final element of the game is to direct the ball to the center of the field after the last goal has passed and hit the ball against the peg. For hitting the peg at this point you get a point. Hitting the ball on the peg before all goals have passed, will result in the loss of the points scored in that round.
In the extended and more interesting game, it is possible to get additional strokes. If the ball hits any of the balls the hit ball is called rocket on the playing court, the player is entitled to two additional strokes: a cricket strike and a regular extra strike.
You perform a croquet strike as follows: put your ball back to the ball that was struck so that it touches it at any point and hit it both balls must move. If any of the balls does not move or is out of bounds as a result of being hit, the player ends his move and loses the additional hit. After a correct cricket strike, the player is entitled to an additional strike (with the same ball). A player may rock each ball only once in one move, unless he scores a goal by crossing the goal, in which case he can rock each ball again. Bonus blows do not stack. For example, if the ball passes through the goal net on one shot and strikes another ball, perform the croquet shot immediately and only one additional shot. Likewise, if the ball strikes another ball during a croquet strike, perform a second cricket strike and only one additional strike.
